He was born in the year 1853 on the 16th day of the month of August and used to be a football player as well. He is currently the South African National Football team’s head coach.

He was born in England to Scottish parents and as such, his upbringing took place in the two countries. He is known to have played professionally in a couple of clubs which are located in Scotland, England, Australia, Sweden, as well as in the United States of America as well.
